Catalyst is a faith-based learning center in the heart of Elizabethtown. Young people get hands-on training in practical, life-building skills here, taught by mentors who care about them and want to fill their lives with purpose, vision and hope for the future.
Our first pilot workshops start this October for ages 10 to 12, and they're free.
- Woodshop: Wednesday evenings for 6 weeks, starting October 7, 6:30 to 8:00 pm
- Mechanical Shop: Tuesday evenings for 6 weeks, starting October 6, 6:30 to 8:00 pm
Both shops filled quickly, so we're keeping a waitlist for future sessions.
A faith-based group where moms and their children, newborn to age five, connect, learn and grow together.
Our goal is to build supportive relationships with mentors and other moms, and to grow knowledge and confidence as a parent, all centered on Christ and His Word.
How a morning works:
- Hour one: We open with active songs and learn about the calendar, the seasons and the weather. Then moms and children rotate through three 15-minute learning stations: a sensory and skills table, a craft, and active games.
- Hour two: The kids head off for snack and story time with our Children's Director and teen helpers. Meanwhile, moms gather for "Mom's Coffee Talk," a time of teaching and discussion.

Every skill taught at Catalyst comes from someone willing to share it. Our mentors and teachers invest their time and know-how so the next generation can thrive.

Our first workshops teach woodworking and mechanical skills, and we want to add more. Cooking, sewing, gardening, home repair and personal finance are all on our wish list.
